Q-Sense E1 Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring (QCM-D)

The Q-Sense E1 enables accurate and simple QCM-D measurements of real-time molecular interactions. QCM-D systems characterize the interface in terms of structure and mass, and provide novel insight on viscoelastic properties and assembly of many surface substrates before, during and after interaction.

Frequency and dissipation characteristics

  • Frequency range: 1-70 MHz
  • Maximum time resolution, 1 frequency: > 100 data points per second
  • Maximum mass sensitivity in liquid: d ~ 0.5 ng/cm2 (5 pg/mm2)
  • Normal mass sensitivity in liquid : e ~ 1.8 ng/cm2 (18 pg/mm2)
  • Maximum dissipation sensitivity in liquid: d ~ 0.04 x 10-6
  • Normal dissipation sensitivity in liquid: e ~ 0.1 x 10-6
