Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center’s Full-Time Researcher, Dr. İsmail Fidan, has been awarded support under the 2509 TÜBİTAK–French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bilateral Cooperation Programme – Bosphorus 2025 Call, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Dominique Luneau from the Laboratoire des Multimateriaux et Interfaces (LMI) at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France.

The project, entitled “2D Magnets Based on Metal–Radical Coordination Architectures,” aims to develop a new range of possibilities for the design of 2D magnets single layer based on the self-assembly of metal-radical coordination frameworks on functionalized silicon surfaces with the aim of obtaining materials with unusual physicochemical properties including magnetic properties. This project is among 8 projects that were selected for funding within the framework of the 2509 TÜBİTAK–French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bilateral Cooperation Programme, Bosphorus 2025 Call.

We congratulate our researcher and wish him success in his collaborative project.
