The referee evaluation meeting of the NANOSİS Platform, which is supported by TÜBİTAK 1004, led by SUNUM and aims to develop fast, economical, and original nanotechnological components, products, and systems for health monitoring and diagnosis, was held on May 22, 2025 at SUNUM.

After the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Alpagut Kara, Director of SUNUM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kemal Bayazıt, Research Program Coordination leader, gave an overview of the Platform.

The outputs of the interdisciplinary studies conducted to date were evaluated at the meeting, and the innovative products, prototypes, technologies, and posters developed were exhibited.

NANOSİS included 8 Universities, 1 of which was a consultant/service provider, 12 private sector organizations, 7 of which were consultants/service providers, 22 institutions/organizations, 2 of which were public research centers, and approximately 150 researchers.

In the NANOSİS Platform, one of the leading pre-competition platforms in our country, researchers worked on 6 themes and 16 projects for 4 years.

Researchers on the platform conducted valuable studies with NANOSİS’ vision of “carrying out research focused on the detection and prevention of health-threatening and contamination-causing factors.” The first of the research programs consisted of projects aimed at the detection of agents that cause diseases in the liquid phase. Another heading consisted of sensors aimed at the detection of certain chemicals that may cause diseases and health problems in the gas phase. The third heading included studies on health monitoring with wearable technologies. The fourth heading included studies on applications such as the detection of certain chemicals at very low concentrations and disease detection from breath. The fifth heading included studies on the early diagnosis of cancer using cancer markers.
