International Visit to SUNUM

We were delighted to host Dr. Günther Scherer, an internationally renowned scientist in electrochemistry, hydrogen technologies, and polymer electrolyte fuel cells, at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research & Application Center (SUNUM) at December 1. Dr. Scherer, who previously served as the Fuel Cell Group Leader and Head of the Electrochemistry Group at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), Switzerland, visited SUNUM upon the invitation of SUNUM researcher and Sabancı University faculty member Prof. Selmiye Alkan Gürsel, who conducted postdoctoral and senior scientist research in Dr. Scherer’s group at PSI. During his visit, Dr. Scherer toured SUNUM’s state-of-the-art research infrastructure, including energy laboratories,  and advanced characterization facilities. He also engaged in insightful scientific discussions with our research teams on emerging trends in PEM/AEM fuel cells, electrolyzers, and electrochemical materials/components. We are honored to have welcomed Dr. Scherer to SUNUM and look forward to further scientific and knowledge exchange.
