Sulfonated polyether ether ketone (SPEEK) polymers are fluorine-free alternative materials for flexible and environmentally friendly ion exchange applications. With -SO₃H (sulfonic acid) groups in their structure, their degree of sulfonation (%DS) can be adjusted as needed, making them compatible with various functional properties. Thanks to their tunable functionality, they can be combined with small molecules, functional compounds or other polymers and used in energy, environmental and separation technologies, mostly in membrane form.
