SUNUM participated in the 2nd “Bilateral Sino-Turkish Symposium on Advanced Materials and Flexible Electronics (SAMFE-2025), hosted by Nanjing Tech University (NJTech) from December 2–5, 2025, and in the 8th International Symposium on Bio, Organic & Nano Electronics (ISBONE 2025), hosted by Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT) from December 6–8, 2025.
The symposium, organized in collaboration with SUNUM Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, Sabancı University, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and İstinye University, brought together researchers from Türkiye and China. Researchers from fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, medicine, and engineering shared their work and exchanged information on project partnerships, academic collaborations, high-quality joint studies, and publications.
Our Center Director Prof. Dr. Alpagut Kara from SUNUM gave information about our Center and the TEAM-NANO Project as a guest speaker, while our full-time researchers Dr. İzzet Yıldız, Dr. Javed Kolkar, Dr. Mohammad Umar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kemal Bayazıt, Dr. Yılmaz Şimşek, and part-time researchers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayça Bal Öztürk contributed to the symposium with their research topics.
The main theme of SAMFE, the first of which took place in Istanbul last May, covers the general field of electronics, including seven focus themes: advanced functional materials for flexible structures, lighting and imaging, bioelectronics for healthcare, informatics science and technology, energy harvesting, wearable electronics, soft robotics, and quantum-enhanced flexible devices.
We would like to thank our researchers who contributed to the realization of the SAMFE-2025 and ISBONE 2025 symposiums and to the scientific path between Türkiye and China.
