SUNUM Director Prof. Dr. Alpagut Kara, Deputy Director Dr. Mert Umut Özkaynak and Researcher Dr. Kaan Demirel visited ETH Zürich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich), IBM Research Europe – Zurich, and EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne) in Switzerland.
As part of the program held on May 11–13, visits were made to the cleanroom facilities of IBM Research Europe – Zurich and the laboratories of FIRST – Center for Micro- and Nanoscience at ETH Zürich. During the visits, quantum laboratories and cleanroom infrastructures were toured, and strategic developments in the fields of quantum engineering and nanofabrication were evaluated.
As part of the program, participation was also provided in the annual review meeting of CMi (Center of MicroNanoTechnology) held in Lausanne. During the visit, the CMi Cleanroom facilities at EPFL were also toured, and discussions were held regarding potential collaboration opportunities. In line with these meetings, information was shared about SUNUM’s research infrastructure and capabilities, while possible areas for future cooperation were explored.
