TÜBİTAK 1004 Programs Came Together
The High Technology Platforms within the scope of the Center of Excellence Support Program (1004 Program) came together with the participation of Mehmet Fatih KACIR, Minister of Industry and Technology, and Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL, TÜBİTAK President.
At the evaluation meeting held at 14:00 on August 23, 2023 at the National Metrology Institute on TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus, commercialization and speed, as well as international partnerships with the EU and other countries beyond the EU, were discussed, and the Ministry of Industry and Technology reiterated its support for the High Technology Platforms.
At the meeting attended by research program implementing organization leaders and senior managers, presentations were made regarding the 1004 Program projects and opinions were exchanged. SUNUM, Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, gave information about the two research programs it conducts.
The NANOSIS Platform, the first of these programs, aims to develop fast, economical and unique nanotechnological components, products and systems for medical follow-up and diagnosis. NANOSIS brings together 8 universities, of which 1 is a consultant/service provider, 12 private sector institutions, of which 7 are consultants/service providers, 22 institutions/organizations, of which 2 are public research centers, and 158 researchers
LignoNANO, the second TÜBİTAK 1004 supported platform, which is carried out under the leadership of SUNUM, aims to develop value-added advanced nanotechnological materials and systems for a sustainable circular economy. LignoNANO brings together 4 public research centers, of which 2 are consultants/service providers, 20 private sector organizations, of which 4 are consultants/service providers, and 5 universities, totaling 29 institutions/organizations in addition to approximately 150 researchers.
