The project titled “Molecular Investigation of the Efficiency of In Planta Gene Transfer Methods Using Selenium Nanoparticles in Arabidopsis thaliana and Cucurbita pepo L. Molecular assessment of in planta gene delivery using selenium nanoparticles in Arabidopsis thaliana and Cucurbita pepo”, led by SUNUM researcher Dr. Nihal Öztolan Erol, with Şevin Adıgüzel as the project advisor and Dr. Zehra Çobandede, Team Leader of the SUNUM Energy and Chemistry Laboratory, as a researcher, has been awarded funding under the TUBITAK 3501 – Career Development Program
The project aims to develop a more scalable method by eliminating the challenging tissue culture stages and Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation in squash plants, where transformation efficiency is low, using SeNP-based in planta gene transfer. This approach seeks to offer an innovative perspective on new breeding techniques.
Congratulations to our researcher, and we wish her success in her project.
