On 8 October 2026, we were pleased to welcome Charlotte Laigre, Scientific and University Cooperation Officer at the French Consulate, and Prof. Dominique Luneau from the Laboratoire des Multimatériaux et Interfaces (LMI) at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 to SUNUM.

The visit provided an opportunity to review progress on our joint project, “2D magnets based on metal-radical coordination architectures,” supported by TÜBİTAK and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Bosphorus (2509) Programme. Jointly led by Dr. İsmail Fidan at SUNUM and Prof. Dominique Luneau at UCBL1–LMI, the project aims to develop two-dimensional magnetic materials by assembling metal–radical coordination structures on silicon surfaces. We shared our latest research findings and planned the work to be undertaken during the upcoming visits.

Alongside our ongoing research collaboration, we explored opportunities to work with French research institutions and industry partners on joint R&D, industrial projects and technology commercialisation. We highlighted SUNUM’s readiness to bring its research expertise and infrastructure to these partnerships.

We thank our guests for their valuable contributions and an engaging exchange. We look forward to building collaborations that translate scientific knowledge into new technologies and practical applications.
