SUNUM - Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center, which continues its activities in the field of nanotechnology as one of the first four "National Research Infrastructures" to qualify under the Law No. 6550, was entitled to receive the qualification for the second 5 years.
A meeting has been held at TÜBİTAK MAM for the second qualification period of SUNUM with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Deputy Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and Vice President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil and SUNUM Board Members, Director, and Deputy Directors.
After the meeting, SUNUM held its first board meeting with its new members. Sabancı Holding Industry Group President Cevdet Alemdar was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prof. Dr. Alpagut KARA from Eskişehir Technical University, General Manager of WAT Motor Industry and Trade Inc. Cemal Şeref Oğuzhan ÖZTÜRK, Executive Board Member of Nobel İlaç San. ve Tic. Inc. Hasan Ersin ZEYTİN, Rector of Alanya HEP University Prof. Dr. Mesut GÜNER, Prof. Dr. Mustafa GÜDEN from Izmir Institute of Technology, General Manager from the State Supply Office Mücahit ÖZDEMİR and Prof. Dr. Oğuz Nuri BABUROĞLU and Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya MENCELOĞLU from Sabancı University take part in the Board of Directors.
