Zeynep Turgay, from Migros A.Ş., will talk about sustainable food security and systemic innovation in agriculture on Nano Open Webinar on November 29, 2023.

Food security, which includes the concepts of food accessibility, food availability, food safety and quality, and protection of natural resources, continues to exist as one of the most important social problems along with the global climate crisis. Regarding systemic innovations to ensure food supply security, Dr. Zeynep Turgay will take part as a speaker.

About Zeynep Turgay, PhD

Zeynep Turgay has been working as an R&D Program Manager in Migros Tic. A.Ş. for 10 years. She received her B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering and  M.Sc. degree in Information Systems from METU (Ankara, Turkey) in 1998 and 2001 respectively. She reveived her Ph.D. degree in Operations Research from Koc University in 2012. Prior to joining Migros in 2014, she worked in Oyak Gn.Md. as a system analyst and in Ctech Ltd. as a R&D Quality and Test Director. She has 17 years of experience in National and International R&D Funds, particularly in the field of climate problems and sustainability.

Her main research areas include dynamic programming and simulation, mathematical modeling and optimization, supply chain management and sustainable agriculture.
