At the Nano Open Webinar on February 1, İdil Buse Kök Hazer from the Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) Technology Transfer Office will discuss the technology transfer ecosystem in Turkey and ODTÜ’s applications.

İdil Buse Kök Hazer will talk about the process of creation of the technology transfer ecosystem in Turkey in comparison with the rest of the world, the government supports in this process, the legislation and policies coming into force in this context, what the technology transfer activities involve, the current standing of the technology transfer ecosystem and the problems encountered. Afterwards, she will talk about the work of ODTÜ Technology Transfer Office, which started its operations in 2007 as Turkey's first Technology Transfer Office.

About İdil Buse Kök Hazer

İdil Buse Kök Hazer, attorney at law, registered technology transfer professional (RTTP) and chartered patent attorney, is the director of Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) Technology Transfer Office. İdil Buse Kök Hazer, graduated from Bilkent University Faculty of Law. She received her M.Sc. degree from International Relations department at Middle East Technical University, and she is continuing her PhD studies in Science and Technology Policy Studies at Middle East Technical University. She is also one of the IP Ambassadors of the European IP Helpdesk, member of the PATLIB Advisory Committee, Board Member of LES Turkey and USIMP and Vice President of IP & Competition Law Council of Ankara Bar Association. She has more than 14 year’s expertise in technology transfer, commercialization of IP, managing the IP portfolio development and management, litigation, patent valuation and strategic opinion.
