Prof. Dr. Nuri Azbar, co-founder of Prongen Tech A.Ş., one of the experts of ÜSİMP Green Transformation Platform, will be the guest at the Nano Open Webinar to be held at Zoom, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, between 12:30 - 13:30.

World Environment Day Special, Prof. Azbar will talk about ‘Decarbonisation, Defosilisation, Dematerilisation for Green Transformation in Industry’ at Nano Open, which will be held jointly with ÜSİMP ‘Green Transformation Talks’.

About Prof. Nuri Azbar

In 1990, Prof. Azbar graduated from DEU Department of Environmental Engineering and completed his master's degree at the same university in 1993. In 1999, he completed his PhD in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University in the United States.

Prof. Azbar works and lectures on renewable energy such as biofuels, industrial wastewater treatment and wastewater recovery, “Industrial Ecology and Cleaner Production”, Sustainable Campuses”. He contributes to environmental developments in industry and society with his collaborations with the Chamber of Industry, Chamber of Environmental Engineers and Environment-themed associations.

Prof. Dr. Nuri Azbar is currently a faculty member at Ege University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Bioengineering. His main educational approach and vision in the Department of Bioengineering is the “Biorefinery” concept, and he carries out research and education activities for the production of high value-added outputs in waste-to-value transformations.

Prof. Azbar is the co-founder of Prongen Tech Inc.
