Dr. Muhammad Umar, one of new researcher of the SUNUM Family, will be the guest at the Nano Open Webinar on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 between 11.00-12.00 at Zoom.

Muhammad Umar will briefly discuss his research on developing polymer-based conformable biophotonics and electronic systems and their large-area application in highly efficient bio/chemical sensing and displays. First, he will discuss the use of polymer for efficient light-matter interaction to yield i) planar, lithography-free, and conformable metal-insulator-metal (MIM)-based Fabry-Perot resonators and ii) coherent random lasing from 3D nanostructured optically activated silk biopolymer films for bio/chemical sensing and display applications. Then, he will present flexible and fully biocompatible patterned nanowire electrodes and antennas embedded in silk biopolymer for food quality monitoring.
