Home > News > Cell Culture Fundamentals, Safety & Hands-on Training at SUNUM

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Cell Culture Fundamentals theoretical and hands-on training was held at SUNUM.

The training was delivered by Technical Specialist Dr. Atena Ghosi Gharehaghaji and Technical Staff Dr. Şevin Varnalı from SUNUM and was designed for researchers and laboratory users planning to incorporate cell culture techniques into their scientific research.

During the training, participants received comprehensive instruction on the fundamental principles of cell culture, aseptic techniques, laboratory safety, biosafety practices, and contamination prevention. The programme combined interactive theoretical sessions with hands-on laboratory training covering cell passaging, cell counting and viability assessment, cryopreservation and thawing procedures, and best practices for maintaining healthy cell cultures. Participants also gained experience in good laboratory documentation, digital data recording, sample traceability, and standardized workflows that support reliable, reproducible, and well-documented research.

Training Highlights

  • Cell Culture Fundamentals
  • Laboratory Safety & Biosafety Protocols
  • Aseptic Techniques & Contamination Prevention
