The “Molecular Characterization and Chemical Imaging Training,” organized in collaboration with SUNUM and TETRA Technological Systems, was held at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM) on September 10, 2026.
The training covered the fundamental principles and advanced applications of FTIR spectroscopy and Confocal Raman Microscopy. Participants gained comprehensive insights into spectrum interpretation, the use of spectral databases, chemical mapping, and spatially resolved molecular characterization methods.
The program also addressed the characterization of nanomaterials, polymers, composites, coatings, multilayer structures, semiconductors, electronic materials, and energy-related materials. The applications of these techniques in life sciences, biomedical research, pharmaceutical analysis, and food analysis were also discussed.
Bringing together participants from different disciplines, the training provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, exploring the potential of advanced analytical methods, and enhancing expertise in molecular characterization and chemical imaging.
