As part of the TeamNANO Project, the SUNUM Director, researchers, and technical team conducted technical visits to project partners University of Southampton (UoS) and TU Delft. The program also included visits to Imec, one of the world's leading nanoelectronics R&D center in Leuven.
The TeamNANO project aims to modernize SUNUM, Turkey's Center of Excellence, by establishing a partnership with UoS and TU Delft. With its strong nanotechnology infrastructure and qualified personnel, SUNUM aims to develop its research capacity and skills to remain competitive on a global scale. The project focuses on developing advanced flexible electronic platforms by leveraging UoS's expertise in artificial intelligence hardware and flexible components, and TU Delft's knowledge in sensors and 2D materials. This collaboration will strengthen SUNUM's technical, managerial, and research capabilities, fostering long-term partnerships and promoting innovation within Turkey's R&D ecosystem, while also contributing to research advancements at the regional and European levels.
As part of this Project, the SUNUM Team visited UoS on May 12–13 and TU Delft on May 15–16. During the visits, the SUNUM TeamNANO Team met with researchers, technical staff, and managers from UoS and TU Delft, toured laboratories, and conducted technical discussions. On May 19, as part of the Imec Leuven technical visit, the cleanroom infrastructure was inspected, and potential collaborations were discussed.
